L5P Under RENOVATION

Little Five Points under new construction.

Just look around L5P and you will see renovation and new construction everywhere. Familiar faces are gone and new business and neighbors are moving in. Long held famous laildmarks like The POINT at 420 Moreland Avenue, which was LSP's premier nightclub and rock venue, hasclosed forever more. No more Marilyn Manson shows! No more Saturday and Sunday Rock Matinees! We will miss our most favorite watering hole and all of the artists it has brought to us over the last eight years.

But LSP is growing!

As you enter Little Five Points from the Carter Center / Freedom Parkway, you will notice that the Park to the east of Moreland Avenue has recently been ringed by a dozen or so new and elegant homes. These lots had been made available to the original owners or auctioned off by the DOTafter the City and the State came to an agreement over the road and FREEDOM PARK a few years ago. These homes have been under construction for the last several months and prices range from $250,000 to $450,000. Most of these single family homes are built to retain the neighborhood's character add the finishing touches to the perimeter of Atlanta!s largest greenspace, FREEDOM PARK.

It's also a pleasure to report the bike and walk paths to Ponce de Leon and North Ave. are nearly complete.

Enter on Moreland Avenue, south towards Little Five, and there are townhouses going up on theright that will house approximately ten new families. Across the street, on the east side of Moreland,starting at the corner of Druid Place, there are twelve new additional townhouses planned and permitted.

Just past that, a few old neighborhood houses are up for sale and ripe for potential renovation.

RENOVATION continued -->
